I created "Sunflower Bee" to bring to life the profound connection between pollinators and the flowers they sustain. In this piece, a queen bumblebee, adorned with golden sunflowers blooming from her back, hovers in a luminous space between dream and reality. By merging these two essential elements of nature, I wanted to highlight the delicate balance of give and take that allows life to flourish.

      My goal was to capture both the realism and surreal beauty of this relationship. The bee’s fuzzy body and translucent wings blend seamlessly with the sunflowers, creating a sense of harmony and transformation. I really wanted to create movement, energy, and a sense of wonder, as if this being exists beyond the constraints of time and space.

     Beyond its visual appeal, "Sunflower Bee" is a reflection on nature’s fragility and resilience. Sunflowers rely on bees for pollination, just as bees depend on flowers for nourishment. Through this work, I hope to honor that connection while also raising awareness about the vital role pollinators play in maintaining biodiversity.
